Truck or Treat Trip 3

It's our third year coming to Truck or Treat, it's gone so fast! Here is last years trip, I can't find the post for the previous year but the boys were both sharks. If you can't tell already I love dressing them up! This will probably the last year that Miles lets me choose his costumes. :( I lucked out finding this cookie monster costume since he's still pretty obsessed with him. Next year he'll be choosing random, custom costumes like Nolan's Ninja dog...the costume you get when you can't decide between dog or ninja. Everyone seemed to get it right away though and Nolan loved having his whole face painted!

Miles is going to need some reminders on how trick or treating works so I'm super glad we had tonight to practice. He would go up to the truck guys and say, in his monster voice, "I want that candy!" or "Give me the candy!" Luckily we have a few more opportunities coming up to refine his technique before the big day.

Miles was having none of the Seafair clowns again this year, Nolan continues to love them though! They had him do dog tricks for his candy.

Taking a break to check out his candy options.

Striking his ninja pose.

They had a great time again this year. Thanks Truck or Treat!

Pumpkin-Palooza

Yesterday we made not one but two trips to the pumpkin patch. First up was a trip with Miles' preschool class.

Frolicking with friends.

Visiting with the locals.

Searching for the perfect pumpkin.
We found it!
Once Pat and Nolan got home it was off again for our family trip to the field.

Gone are the days of getting decent pictures of these two. Sigh, they'll start cooperating again someday right?!?! Here is Nolan's fake smile and Miles' scowl.

Here's a slightly more believable fake smile from Nolan and the I'm not opening my eyes look for Miles.

They sure are sweet though, makes up for the photogenic issues.

"Mom take our picture of us pretending to be dogs hiding behind this tree!" Miles didn't get the message.

Bouncing it out.

WE told the boys they can ride the train by themselves but they have to hold onto each other. They took this very seriously.

More bouncing.

One last attempt at a decent picture...so close!

Puyallup Fair

Nolan and I went to Puyallup Fair, just us this year. I was excited because it was the first year he could ride the "big kid" rides. Yeah, size wise he was able to but he wasn't having any of those fast moving, high up, crazy rides. I couldn't even get him on the swings! Oh well, there's nothing wrong with being a bit cautious.

Us on the cable car across the park.
This game was hilarious. He couldn't stand up at all.

Nolan was happy to ride the rides in Toddler land.
And get sparkly sharks painted on his face. Maybe next year I can convince him to try at least 1 big ride.

Nolan and his favorite cow, Moo Moo.
Time sure does fly!

Zoo

While Clementine was visiting over the Summer I took all 3 kiddos down to Point Defiance Zoo. They had such a great time!

We watched the sharks for almost an hour. There was a docent there that the big kids asked a million questions about sharks, where they live, if they live here, etc, etc.
Nolan was the only one who wanted to touch anything in the touch tanks. He had to touch everything, plus a million more questions for the zoo staff. :)
Snack time with the baby tigers.
And the elephant.
I'm almost positive there's a picture of Emily and me climbing on this exact statue. I will have to do some digging and do a side by side.
Another favorite was the walrus. I'm fairly certain one of these 3 will be a marine biologist.
Howling at the wolves.
