It feels weird that my last post was about playing in the snow and here we are playing in the sun without any coats. Such a weird Spring we have had! But I'm finally catching up with the blog, not a whole lot to report since we've been quite the home bodies lately. But we have had a few adventures mixed in there.
We started taking Ruby to the park this last month in hopes that it would get a bit of energy out of her (and the kids). She has a lot to learn when it comes to leash manners but just like her big brother Nolan, she LOVES meeting new people!
I made a huge dog owner error on our first trip out and took Ruby and the kids to quite possibly the ONLY absolutely no dogs allowed park in Washington. I didn't even know these existed! oops! Luckily we didn't get into trouble, but I won't make that mistake again! The second time, I did my research and made sure to find one that would be great for everyone. I found a great place called Lake Boren Park near Newcastle.

Her ears have suddenly become less lab like and more resemble Dobby the house elf (Granny this is a Harry Potter reference). This isn't her perking up her ears or anything, this is how they sit now. It's hilarious! |

There were all these cool moss covered rocks that Nolan loved exploring. |
|
But mostly they ran while Ruby pulled me on her leash trying to keep up. |

Nolan was trying to boss around a group of Japanese exchange students, which was super entertaining to watch. He must speak the international language of kid because once they settled in they played together most of the day. |

I realized that Miles has never gone down a slide, shame on me big time! He was always more of a swing sort of guy but once I showed him the slide, he was all over that. |

Ruby even had fun at the playground despite being tethered to a bench. She had a stick so she was all set. |
