Oh Day 3, if only I could relive you every day. The weather was perfect, warm and no wind. The kids were in good moods (mostly) and let me follow them around with a camera. All good stuff! Thanks to Uncle Lee I got in even more pics this day, evidence that I was actually on this trip. yay! He took this next batch of pictures since I left my camera back at the house. I didn't want to worry about it while we were in the water.
I said MOSTLY in good moods already right? I ended up borrowing Lee's camera for this next batch, so fun learning a new camera!
Miles decided sand wasn't quite so yummy after all.
Sandy Baby Bliss.
We were at the beach for most of the day. A quick nap time for the kids, plus some baseball for the guys meant I got to wander through town by myself. I bought about 5 pounds of taffy and was able to keep it my secret stash for the rest of the trip, wahaha!
After naps we headed South for Pacific City, another place I've never been and holy cow why not?!?! It was so pretty there, crowded for sure but so beautiful so I see why. Thanks to Brother Lee for a few more family pictures. Last year we had 1 picture of all 4 of us so I feel quite spoiled now.
No time to dawdle there we had to get back home to try again for the beach bonfire. The weather was holding up so it was looking good!
The boys were experienced bonfire makers now so it was all hands on deck.
Miles hair was really feeling the effects of all that sand, sun and salt water. I loved it's craziness though.
Back to Uncle Lee's pictures from that night.
Lee dubbed this my Jane Goodall moment.
Two can play at that game. :)
The light was so amazing I just followed the kids wherever they went.
We stayed until almost 11pm when Nolan asked if we could go home and go to bed, definitely a first! But before he fell asleep he declared that "THIS was the best day ever!"
