Outsmarted

Tonight's dinner conversation went like this.

Nolan: I love peppers, they are my favorite fruit.

Pat: Peppers are a vegetable buddy.

Nolan: No, fruit!

Megan: I'm pretty sure it's a vegetable Nolan.

Pat and I look at each other quizzically.

Pat: google it!

I jump on the iPhone and check it out- search terms: bell peppers vegetable or fruit?

Sure enough, Wikipedia says it is most definitely a fruit!

Megan: You're right Nolan, peppers are a fruit.

Nolan: I know.

Fun fact: zucchini, pumpkin and cucumber are also fruits. Crazy!
